Saela Rebrand

In 2021, it was decided that Edge Pest Control needed to rebrand to reach their goals. I was involved in the decision-making process, interviewing different agencies and deciding which fit best. We hired an agency, and they helped us create a new name and logo. From there, it was up to us to change the brand from Edge to Saela.

Company Announcement

Change can be difficult, so we had to present the rebrand to the company positively and energetically. I worked with vendors to ensure everything was done correctly and on time. I created a presentation for our CEO and designed a theme based on Roald Amundsen’s expedition to the South Pole, with printed banners and booths. I also gave a short presentation to the company about the new brand.

First Steps

I first updated the design for business cards, vehicle wraps, and other major assets. Then, I worked with the Operations team to find a uniform company that could deliver a uniform in line with our brand guide. I also worked with them to find a company to wrap vehicles and held them to deadlines.

Working with departments

We had a short window to rebrand everything before our busy season began. I invited a representative from each department to be responsible for rebranding assets in their department. We met as “Brand Champions” as a group monthly, individually as necessary, and through Microsoft Project to define assets needing updates.

Branding Roadmap

I have created a roadmap to guide the future growth of the brand department. The roadmap focuses on four key areas: the framework of the department, growth of the customer brand strategy, employee brand strategy, and the integration of Design Thinking methodology into the culture of Saela.
